Help Support KEDU
Projects
The New Network
Change never comes easy. It is especially true when a struggling
community radio
station takes on a project to upgrade its news and information services.
Such is the case at KEDU - Community Radio.
Earlier this year, the Associated Press decided to eliminate their All
News Radio format. This particular news format was not only an award
winning service but it was a perfect fit for KEDU. It made delivering the
news incredibly convenient to the staff and listeners of KEDU.
Thus the need for a new network. A new network (USA
Radio Network) requires new equipment and new equipment is
expensive. The painful truth for KEDU is that we cannot afford such upgrades
on our own. Volunteers have been helping with labor and equipment, but the
time has come to purchase satellite receivers and equipment. This equipment
upgrade will cost an estimated $6,000.
If you would like to help KEDU with these expenses, please send your tax
deductible donation to the address listed below. If you would like to donate
online with your credit card, click on the support button listed below. If
you have any questions or would like to have your donation used or named in
a specific manner, please call Harv Twite, at (505) 630-5000.
Thank You.

Notes & Pictures
Thanks to a great many folks who have donated their time, equipment,
manpower
and money to helping KEDU. We are very grateful. And, special thanks to Jacl
McGrann for spear-heading this endeavor. At this time, we need to purchase
the required equipment necessary to complete this project.
Leo Martinez Stucco donated the use of a 16' flat-bed
trailer. Ace Hardware and our local ham radio club donated manpower by Jim
Edwards and Phil Goetz, as did
T-Bone and friends from the Village of Ruidoso (after working hours).
D.J. Paris and Owen Little donated satellite dishes for the project.
